MYP Global Contexts

My initial research question was to only to improve my speed - this later changed to improving my speed and my acceleration. I made this modification because I reflected and I figured that both sprinting and acceleration had a strong connection with each other and were both relative to football. Thus, I decided to include both of them in my research question.
My initial global context was "Personal and Cultural Expression". I initially thought that this global context was the right one for my project, but when reflecting upon it I noticed that "Identities and Relationships" fit my project way better. This is because it focused on personal interest, "Students will explore personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health" (directly quoted from the PP_Guide).

I conducted research on the different muscles being used in when sprinting and running and also researched on how to edit a video on different types of editing softwares - this is something new I learned. Resources I gathered were books, interviews, websites, articles, and videos.

One obstacle I encountered during my process was when I had to figure out a way to publish my video without having a watermark - I solved this by using a recording software to assist me in recording the whole video without the watermark. Another obstacle I encountered was when I was doing my weekly training outside - it had been raining all week and the grass was very wet and too muddy to even run on. I figured out that it was best to do the exercises in my back garden, even though I would have had to repeat them more times since my back garden was too small for my exercises. So, my solution was to do the routine in my back garden and try my best to imitate the exercises but on a smaller scale. It worked in the end and it was not the only time I was forced to do it.
